Hello watercolorists! Another month is here so is time for another installment of AquaTalk! Each month, we will choose a member of #watercolorists to interview. You will gain insight to their general artistic goals, their watercolor technique, and little of their personality as well.

This month we interviewed the incredible petiteartiste666, where we get an indepth look at her approach to our beloved media. For my part, I would love to live in her landscapes!

:bulletblue: First of all, please tell us a bit about yourself.

I was born and grew up in Wolomin, a small town near the capital. I studied architecture in Warsaw but, currently, I work as a journalist in a local newspaper. And of course I paint.

:bulletblue:When did you start painting with watercolors? Why do you use watercolors to create art?

I started painting by accident almost three years ago. My whole life revolved around art, I studying painting only two years, but I never thought that I begin to paint. When I saw works of J. Falat, polish painter, I loved them and I wanted to try my self. Since then, the watercolor has become number one in my life (well beyond my fiance:)) I wanted to paint. The beginnings were difficult. Nothing came out, and the paint did not give a control. I wanted to quit. However, I am terribly stubborn and do not give up easily. I fought. Did I win? We'll see.
I use watercolor, because firstly it's not easy technique, and secondly captivates me lightness, subtlety and unpredictability of watercolor.

:bulletblue: Who is your favorite watercolorist? Do you have a favorite on deviantArt?

As mentioned earlier, I love watercolors of J. Falat. Also, I like watercolors of the American painter David Drummond. David paints amazing watercolors, his works are filled with realism.
In deviant art I like the paintings of CamillaMalcus and works of ElNido from México. Their watercolors are amazing.

:bulletblue: What inspires you to create? If you're uninspired can you paint the same?

I'm inspired by many things. It can be woven mist meadow or forest light, books and movies, black and white photos. Fortunately in my area are beautiful nature reserves, which enjoy not only the heart but also your eyes. Mostly I paint from my imagination, because in my works I want to show you my world as I see it.
When I have no inspiration, I can not paint, but fortunately, such situations are very rare.

:bulletblue: What do you want to communicate with your art? And how does watercolor help you accomplish this?

I want to show my feelings, my world. I want to show the beauty of the world and that this beauty is so close to us, but we do not want to see it.
Watercolour allows you to show the nature of the delicate and magical way.

:bulletblue: What is a watercolor technique you use a lot? Craziest technique you have done to achieve a certain effect?

I paint "wet on wet" or "wet on dry" to get the details usually. I use a washer to get such a cool texture on the wall, background or a tree trunk. To this effect is also good salt. But most of all I love to paint watercolors with no growth mediums. Just go crazy with the colors and the theme of work. :)

:bulletblue:What's your favourite color? Do you "abuse" of that color in your paintings?

Oh yes... I love indigo color and I use it in my work like crazy. :) Recently, I liked the color purple lake, but I do not use it often.

:bulletblue:How do you know when a piece is finished?

When I feel it - this is it! Then I stop to paint. I start thinking about my next work hehe.

:bulletblue: Any watercolors story/anecdote you would like to share?

Hmmm ... When I paint, I always have to drink coffee. And no matter where I put it, always gets the brush is not the cup as I needed. :P

:bulletblue: Best advice you've been given

Do not give up and paint what you love!
